European Union How a parcel reaches you
Shipping

Insured express courier, door to door, typically three to five working days including customs. Parcels are declared at invoiced value and insured for the same.

Tracking and the full document set reach you by email before the parcel lands. For Belgium, natural diamonds are routed through Diamond Office in Antwerp as the rules require.

Duties and taxes

Loose polished diamonds (HS 7102) carry 0% duty. Finished jewellery of precious metal (HS 7113) carries 2.5% under the Common Customs Tariff. Import VAT applies at the rate of the member state of import.

We quote the goods landed and show duty and VAT separately, so your accountant sees exactly what is reclaimable.

Compliance

The EU prohibits diamonds of Russian origin, including stones of 0.50 ct and above processed in third countries. Since 1 January 2026, every import of natural polished diamonds of 0.50 ct and above must be accompanied by a Due Diligence Statement on Diamond Origin submitted with the customs declaration.

We prepare the statement and the supporting evidence for every natural stone we ship: mining origin, Kimberley Process references for the rough it came from where available, and supplier declarations. Lab-grown goods are declared as lab-grown on the report, the invoice and the parcel.

Hallmarking and marking

Rules differ by member state. France, the Netherlands, Ireland and Portugal require official marks before sale; Germany, Italy and most others rely on the manufacturer's fineness stamp. Pieces carry the fineness stamp as standard and are supplied ready for an official assay where your market requires one.
